This was our first BIG compositing project at school... The goal was to combine all the separate pieces of footage of the actor extras into one seamless shot of a filled coliseum, then add a matte painting as a background, and finally add some form of 3D Particles to finish it off. It was a DOPE project, lots of freedom and we all came up with something different. Here's my finished version:
